Giving Back

The recession has hit lobstermen as hard as anyone, forcing them to sell their catch at rock bottom prices. But that drop-off hasn’t been reflected on New York menus. At Luke’s Lobster you can enjoy Maine’s freshest seafood for a fair price and feel good about it, because the company donates a portion of its profits to the Maine Lobstermen’s Association. You’re not just getting a healthy meal; you’re feeding a whole industry and allowing independent lobstermen to set their traps for another morning.
We also give back to the local community here in New York. We got our hands dirty as we painted McKinley Park as part of New York Cares' Hands On New York Day, we donated a portion of our profits to the New York Food Bank to support for Time Out For Hunger, and we brought down the house with lobster at Streetwise Partners' Taste of Success. We've also donated numerous gift certificates to public schools and charities for fundraising auctions.
